About Us

Born and raised in the Wausau WI area, I grew up with dogs and have always had an interest in training them. As a teen, I worked at Dogwood Kennels which was owned and operated by my Great Aunt and Uncle, Ron and Elaine Strasser. Ron and Elaine showed and bred Great Danes, which is what sparked my interest in the breed.

The very first dog I ever owned was a Chocolate Lab followed by a Border Collie I trained and competed in performance events through the local 4-H Club. I eventually trained the Border Collie as a therapy dog. Serving in a therapy dog capacity, the Collie accompanied me to various jobs within the Wausau School District, the County, and adult family homes. It was after the Border Collie that I had the opportunity to own my first Great Dane, Luke. As they say, the rest is history!

I currently live in the Town of Maine where I operate an adult family home. I also breed and raise Danes as a hobby. For fun, I teach the Lincoln County 4-H Dog Project, helping youth train and prepare their dogs for the 4-H fair show.
